Shopify integration
On a Shopify store the money is on product and collection pages. The blog is a supporting surface, and knowing what it supports is the difference between useful content and a hundred posts nobody reads.

Connecting Shopify
Live in a few minutes.
Step 1
Decide which blog articles belong to
Open the blog posts area of your store admin and check how many blogs exist, since a default one is created with every store and themes sometimes add more.
Step 2
Create a custom app and grant content permissions
In your store's admin, under app development, create a custom app for this integration rather than reusing one that already exists.
Step 3
Install the app and copy the access token
Install the custom app on your store and reveal the Admin API access token.
Step 4
Connect the project in SEOPulser
In the project's integration settings, choose Shopify and supply your store domain and the access token.
Step 5
Check what your theme already emits
Open an existing blog article on your storefront and view source, searching for application/ld+json.
Step 6
Publish one article unpublished first, then review
Set the project to draft-first, generate a single article, and open it in the store admin while it is still unpublished.
What lands where
Every field maps cleanly.
- Title and handleArticle title and handle
- Article body (Markdown)Article body HTML
- Meta description and excerptArticle summary and the SEO description field
- Featured image and alt textArticle image with alt text
- Author entityArticle author field, plus the author node in the JSON-LD
- TagsArticle tags
- Publish state and scheduleArticle published flag and published date
- JSON-LD graphA script tag at the end of the article body HTML
Worth knowing first
The honest limitations.
Every destination constrains something. These are the ones worth knowing before you commit a content program to Shopify.
- The article author is a free-text string rather than a linked account or entity.
- Blog articles have tags and a parent blog, and that is the whole taxonomy.
- The theme owns the document head and the article template.
- We publish articles, not products, collections or pages.
- Shopify has been consolidating its Admin API surface and deprecating older endpoints on a versioned schedule.
From content chaos to search results
Without a system
- Content takes forever, or costs a fortune
- Generic AI drafts never rank
- No schema, no author, no canonical
- Publishing is a manual copy-paste chore
- Scaling too fast gets you flagged
With SEOPulser
- Research to publish, fully on autopilot
- Your answers make every draft original
- JSON-LD and a named author on each
- One-click publishing to your CMS
- Cadence ramped to your site's age
What's different
Built to rank, not just to publish.
Structured data on every article
Article, FAQ, HowTo and Breadcrumb JSON-LD are generated inside the pipeline and stored with the piece, so they travel to whatever you publish to.
Real named authors
Every article is bylined to a named person with a bio and a profile page — not the brand as a schema.org Person, which Google advises against.
Your first-hand experience
Before drafting, you answer a few questions only you can, and the answers go into the piece as material a model could never have inferred.
An MCP server for the loop
Claude, Codex or your own agent reads the calendar, answers questions, queues generation and controls autopilot — over the same API the dashboard uses.
Pace matched to site age
Publishing cadence ramps against when your site was first seen, so a young domain never ships at a volume that reads as scaled content abuse.
Search Console improvements
Connect GSC and it finds near-miss rankings, CTR gaps and thin pages, then rewrites them as accept-or-reject hunks — on posts we didn't write, too.

Questions people actually ask
Can SEOPulser write product descriptions or collection pages?
No. This integration publishes blog articles, and product, collection and page content is outside what it writes to. That is a deliberate boundary rather than a roadmap gap: product copy is commercial writing tied to inventory and merchandising decisions, and an autonomous content pipeline is not the right tool for editing pages that take money.
Will blog posts help my collection pages rank?
Indirectly, and that is the realistic version of the claim. Articles cover informational demand that a collection page cannot serve without becoming a worse shopping page, and they provide internal links from relevant context rather than from navigation alone. What they will not do is outrank your own collection page for a commercial query, and a program that tries usually ends up competing with the store.
Which blog do articles get published to?
The one you select when connecting the project, and it is worth choosing deliberately because the blog's handle becomes part of every article URL. Stores often have more than one blog, including a default created at signup and others added by themes or apps. You can create a separate blog for the program if you want its output kept apart from existing content.
Does my theme already add structured data to blog posts?
Very likely. Widely used Shopify themes emit an Article or BlogPosting graph on blog templates, often with breadcrumbs, built from Liquid variables. Check by viewing source on an existing article and searching for application/ld+json. If the theme's graph is decent, let it own Article and use ours for FAQPage and HowTo. If it names the store as author, ours is the better graph.
How do meta titles and descriptions work on Shopify?
The search engine listing values are stored separately from the article summary, in the metafields the admin's SEO panel writes to. The summary is what themes show in blog listings, so the two are not interchangeable. We set both, but it is worth confirming on a live article which one your theme renders where before assuming a description is missing.
Can articles stay unpublished until I approve them?
Yes. An unpublished Shopify article exists in your admin, holds its handle and is not reachable from the storefront, which makes it a real review state rather than an approximation of one. Draft-first autopilot uses it directly. Approve-each is stricter still and holds generation until you clear the calendar entry, so nothing gets written before you have seen the brief.
- WordPressPublishes to self-hosted WordPress over the core REST API using an application password, with taxonomy terms, a media-library featured image and JSON-LD attached to every post.
- WebflowWrites finished articles into a Webflow CMS Collection, mapped field by field, with a separate publish step and a plan for where the JSON-LD lives.
- GhostPublishes through the Ghost Admin API using a custom integration key, filling the post fields Ghost already has — including per-post code injection for structured data.
- WebhooksA signed publish event delivered to an endpoint you own, carrying the article, its metadata and the generated JSON-LD graphs. Everything after that is your code.
